James Davison
James Davison’s motocross journey began before he could even ride a push bike, starting on a 50cc and racing competitively by age 7. A standout junior, he won the Oakdale Junior Motorcycle Club’s Junior Lites Championship before moving into senior ranks, where he claimed dual Motorcycle NSW state titles in 2019 (250cc & 450cc C-grade) at just 16.
From 2017 to May 2025, James was a key figure at the ACT Motorcycle Club, serving as Track Team Leader and MX Coach. He oversaw four major tracks, led hundreds of coaching sessions, and supported more than 180 riders in gaining race endorsements in 2023 alone.
His coaching style focused on skill, bike knowledge, and suspension setup, with training tailored to all ages and abilities. He also pioneered the club’s first all-girls MX event and worked with AMXEA to coach defence force riders in 2024.
James has been named ACT MCC’s Rider of the Year multiple times and dominated the A-grade MX Championship from 2019 to 2023. Now racing in the Pro MX (MX1) & (MX2) class nationally, he continues to ride Kawasaki as both a top-level competitor and respected ambassador for the sport.
